Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Ecology
The University of Windsor’s Department of Biology within the Faculty of Science seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of ecology, commencing July 1, 2026. We are seeking candidates whose research uses an integrative and interdisciplinary approach and who demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas: plant or animal ecology, conservation genetics/genomics, evolutionary ecology, and/or climate change ecology. We encourage applicants with a research approach that involves field-based studies, and/or lab-based studies of natural systems.

Research Scientist – Biological Control, Research & Development
Vineland Research & Innovation Centre (Vineland) is a uniquely Canadian results-oriented organization dedicated to horticulture science and innovation. Reporting to the Director, Biological Crop Protection, the Research Scientist, Biological Control will develop and lead research projects to enable and accelerate the introduction and use of biological plant protection strategies and reduce the negative impact of pests in horticultural crops (including greenhouse, outdoor fruit and vegetable crops). These projects will develop new crop protection tools, strategies, evaluate them, design and test implementation practices to improve the success of IPM.

MSc Student Position: Ecology, Conservation, and Entomology of
Dragonflies with a Special Conservation Status and Habitat Characterization in the Nicolet Sud-Ouest River (Québec)
Recruiting 1 Master’s student for the Mlynarek lab in Biological Sciences at the Université de Montréal for a project focused on the ecology and conservation of two dragonfly species with a special conservation status in the Nicolet Sud-Ouest River.

MSc Student Position: Insect physiology and behaviour
Recruiting 1-2 Master’s graduate students to join the Awde insect physiology lab at Mount Saint Vincent University. Students will be enrolled in the graduate program at Mount Saint Vincent University or Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Research areas include: the impact of temperature on resource allocation, stress resistance, reproductive physiology, behaviour, and habitat choice. We use several model insect species depending on the research question: lady beetles, native bees, black soldier flies, and agricultural pests. Specific thesis topics are flexible, and you are encouraged to contribute your ideas in your cover letter. Research can be mix of lab and field work.
