Seeking next ESC Bulletin Editor
Following notification that Cedric Gillott intends to resign as Bulletin Editor at the end of 2021, the Entomological Society of Canada is seeking his replacement. The Bulletin Editor is an officer of the Society and reports to the Society’s Board of Directors.
The principal duties of the Bulletin Editor are twofold: 1) To seek and assemble content for each of the four issues published annually; and 2) To conduct technical editing and ensure submitted material follows the Bulletin Guidelines for Authors. Note that development of the layout for each issue (using Adobe InDesign software) is the responsibility of the Bulletin Assistant Editor, currently Donna Giberson. The content of the Bulletin falls broadly into two categories, regular features (e.g., Up front, STEP corner, Society business reports, and Last word) and irregular (occasional) features (e.g., announcements of awards, book reviews, In memory tributes, and research reports). For more information on the position, please contact Cedric Gillott (email@example.com; phone (res) (306-374-8907).
Please express your interest in the position to the President, Bill Riel (ESCPresident@esc-sec.ca). The final selection will be made by an ad hoc committee convened by the President.
