Publish in The Canadian Entomologist
The Canadian Entomologist is published by Cambridge University Press (CUP). There are several important advantages to having TCE published by CUP. First,TCE has transitioned to an electronic-only journal with continuous publication, which means no delay following manuscript acceptance/layout editing and publication. In other words, manuscripts are no longer published without page numbers in “First View” and then later with page numbers in individual volumes – instead your work will be published in final form as it completes the production process.
As part of this transition CUP signed a Read-Publish agreement with the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN), which provides unlimited reading and Open Access (OA) publishing at no cost to authors affiliated with participating institutions. The CRKN represents 42 academic institutions across Canada. CUP has also now signed similar agreements with a large number of institutions around the world. For authors who do not belong to a participating institution, CUP now offers reduced Open Access fees for ESC members (visit this page for details). For non-OA publishing, there are no page charges for publishing in our journal and the production of colour illustrations is at no cost to authors.
All manuscripts for The Canadian Entomologist should be submitted electronically by logging on to the ScholarOne site for the journal: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tce Any questions about this process should be directed to the Editors-in-Chief, Dezene Huber Amanda Roe or Suzanne Blatt.
